Bush Stories from Zimbabwe

In my twelve years as a professional guide leading safaris in the Zimbabwean bush, I've accumulated a virtual book of stories that I've posted on various platforms. Now that I have started my own company, Julian Brookstein Safaris, I am going to pull together all of these bush tales here on this blog for you to enjoy, both old and new, as my adventures continue in the wondrously wild spaces of my beautiful country.

As I'm the guide in front during many of these incredible encounters on foot, I don't often get the chance to take a photo of the moment for safety's sake. Sometimes my clients catch the moment or I'll use another image from a vehicle based encounter to illustrate my stories. To give you some perspective in the photos below, I am 6ft 2in, but look small next to this elephant - Happy reading!
