Safari Exploration options
Half-Day & Full-Day Safaris
Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls town is uniquely situated, surrounded by 56 000 hectares of wild National Park. This means that within 15 minutes drive from your accommodation, you can be on safari in pristine bushveldt.
Julian Brookstein Safaris make the most of this with our day safari exploration packages. We offer a variety of options to best fit your program and time available, all with professional Zimbabwean guides.
These are genuine safari experiences, in the untamed open wilderness, led by the best guides in Africa.
Zambezi National Park is part of a continuous unfenced wild area including the game-rich Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe’s largest totaling some 13,000 square kilometers, together with Matetsi Safari Area, Kazuma National Park, Zambezi National Park, and Pandamasui Forest area, which all combine to form one of Africa’s largest un-spoilt, wilderness areas that are over 20,000 square km in extent.
The main Zambezi National Park area offers dry open and closed woodland types on Kalahari sand and basalt rock; riverine vegetation along seasonal and permanent rivers; grassland vleis and rocky outcrops on basalt. Home to lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, sable, eland, zebra, giraffe, kudu, waterbuck, impala, hippos and crocodiles (to name a few) as well as over 400 species of birds, you never know what is around the next bend of the dirt road.
Separated from the main park by a road, Chamabondo is typical of one of these extremely beautiful ecosystems – that of a long grassed watercourse, with teak covered hillsides, where the wildlife includes lion, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, sable, elephant, baboons and hyena, amongst many others.
We focus our trips in one of two areas – in the Zambezi National Park riverside and interior and in the Chamabondo grasslands area. Whilst both part of the greater Zambezi National Park, each offers a unique plant life that in turns dictates the type of game likely to be found
Your area of discovery will be chosen by your guide on the day, based on their extensive knowledge of the wildlife currently in each area, to ensure the best safari encounter
possible for you.
Please let us know if walking is your main aim during your safari excursion, as certain areas are more suited to this.
Our times are stated as minimum times as, unless requested, we don’t believe in cutting short
an incredible sighting to stick to a set time limit.
